Yoga & Meditation
Why start yoga and meditation?
Yoga and meditation are powerful tools for supporting both your physical and emotional wellbeing. Whether you’re hoping to ease stress, improve flexibility, or simply reconnect with yourself, these practices offer a holistic path to healing.
Yoga invites you to move with intention, release tension, and become more present in your body. Meditation offers space to quiet the mind, build resilience, and find greater inner calm.
You don’t need to be an expert—or have a particular goal—to begin. These practices gently meet you where you are, offering support, clarity, and a deeper connection to your mind, body, and spirit.
What to expect:
In yoga sessions, we explore gentle, grounding poses that help you reconnect with your body, quiet your thoughts, and move with greater ease. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, sessions are tailored to meet you exactly where you are. The focus isn’t on performance—but on awareness, release, and inner connection.
In meditation sessions, we cultivate presence and calm through breathwork, guided visualisations, body scans, and mindfulness practices. These tools can help you feel more centred, grounded, and better able to respond to life with clarity and balance.
Benefits of yoga and meditation:
Reduced stress and anxiety
Increased physical flexibility and strength
Greater balance and resilience
Enhanced relaxation and mental clarity
Improved ability to stay present and grounded
Practices I offer:
Hatha Yoga
A balanced, grounding practice that blends the energies of the sun (Ha) and the moon (Tha) — strength and softness, effort and ease. Hatha Yoga invites you to move mindfully through gentle yet powerful postures, guided by your breath. It helps build flexibility, strength, and inner calm while creating space for deeper self-connection.
Yoga Nidra
Often called “yogic sleep,” Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that brings you into a state of conscious rest. While your body fully relaxes, your awareness remains gently present, allowing for deep healing and restoration. This practice supports nervous system regulation, emotional release, and restful sleep.
Pranayama
The ancient yogic art of conscious breath regulation — prana meaning life force, and ayama meaning extension or control. Pranayama helps you calm the mind, centre the body, and bring awareness to your inner state. These simple but profound practices support balance, clarity, and emotional steadiness.
Meditation
Rooted in yogic, Vedantic, and Buddhist traditions, meditation is a practice of stillness, awareness, and deep inner listening. Whether through breath, mantra, or guided visualisation, meditation offers a way to quiet mental noise and return to presence. With regular practice, it nurtures resilience, insight, and a deeper connection to yourself and the world around you.
Ready to begin? These sessions are open to everyone — whether you’re new to the practice, returning after a break, or simply curious. If you’d like to explore how yoga or meditation might support you, I’d love to hear from you.
